Manchester City go head to head with Liverpool on Sunday in a top-of-the-table clash at Anfield.
City sit top of the Premier League above Liverpool on goal difference, and they know a win over the Reds would open up an important three point lead at the top of the table.
Victory at Anfield will not determine the destination of the Premier League trophy at the end of the season, but it will give City a huge mental boost as Pep Guardiola’s side have struggled against Liverpool in recent seasons.
City lost three out of four meetings with Jurgen Klopp’s side last season, and haven’t won at Anfield in 15 years, so will need to be at their best to overcome a talented home side who are considered their main challengers in the league this season.
